How to roll your Beeswax Candle
Step 1
Place your wax sheet in front of you and start lining up your wick at the bottom edge of your wax sheet.
Step 2
Leave some wick (2cm) sticking out on each side. Pinch the wax all along the sheet so that it holds the wick stable and straight in place while you are rolling your candle.
Step 3
Roll away gently and slowly to ensure that the candle is coming together smoothly. Keep rolling this way until the end of the sheet.
Step 4
Smooth down your edges for an even burn.
Step 5
Trim the remaining wick at each end. For the top cut the wick down to about 1 cm. If you leave it too long, the flame will burn too high and melt quickly. If you leave too small, it will not burn smoothly. Cut the wick at the bottom end and pinch the rest to the candle.
Step 6
All done. Enjoy your candle creations.

Why Beeswax candles are so special?
The 100% Beeswax Candle is the greenest candle you can burn – eco-friendly, healthy and sustainable, powered by the magical properties of beeswax. A natural and renewable resource, our beeswax is loaded with amazing health benefits – antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, non-toxic, naturally aromatic and even edible. Free from paraffin, synthetic fragrance oils, toxic chemicals, GMO soy, parabens and phthalates, our beeswax candle burns cleanly, and is even said to aid wellbeing by purifying the air.
IT BURNS DIFFERENTLY TO OTHER CANDLES
The 100% Beeswax Candle burns powerfully for the first few minutes, as the wax powers through the wick. When using the first time (and each time after that), we recommend that you burn for 4 hours, so that the wax (almost) reaches the edge of the jar, this prevents tunnelling and makes the candle last longer. Never burn the candle for short periods of time, 2 hours or less – this can also cause tunnelling, as there is not enough time for the wax pool to melt to the edge of the jar, as beeswax is a hard wax. It may take 2 or 3, 4 hour burns for the wax to melt right to the edges of the jar. This is because beeswax is a hard wax that burns slowly, and also longer than other candle waxes.
Always trim the wick to 5mm before lighting the candle – This removes carbon from the end of the wick and means the flame will be larger. This in turn helps the flame burn bigger and brighter and will help the wax burn all the way to the edge of the jar, which prevents tunnelling. Always ensure the wick is upright – If the wick leans to one side, the melt pool will be uneven.
Please remember that beeswax candles burn differently to all other wax candles. Beeswax has a different composition depending on the flowers the bees have pollinated. This means every candle will burn differently and will have quirks and imperfections. The wax may crack in between burns and it may burn unevenly. Beeswax will not melt like soy wax or paraffin wax candles – it will have its own way of burning; this is part of the charm of beeswax candles, and we love its imperfections. If you want a candle to behave in a uniform way and be “perfect”, beeswax candles may not be for you.
WARNNG To prevent fire and serious injury: Burn candle within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Where applicable: remove all candle decorations.
