We are an independent family business
Never bleached
Our candles are naturally coloured by pollen granules that the honey bees brush onto the beeswax in the hive and given their lovely aroma by the nectar from the flowers that the honey bees have foraged on. Each season the colour and aroma of our candles subtly varies, it is part of the charm of beeswax. Our candles are great for the dinner table as their subtle honey aroma will not clash with your food— unlike paraffin or soy candles which have synthetic fragrances as well as artificial colour dyes
Our candles are popular during pregnancy and with families who have newborns and toddlers as well as people with COPD or asthma and those with sensitivities to artificial fragrances. The lovely, subtle honey aroma is good for soothing and calming young children as well as pets during busy times of the year (such as Christmas). Our candles are also popular for practices such as meditation
By their nature, Honey Bee Candles are do not require electricity and they are also silent— making them a great choice for windowless bathrooms and utility rooms. Remember to switch off any ventilation fans before lighting Honey Bee Candles. Our preferred way to use our candles for this purpose is a relaxing candle lit bath
Honey Bee Candles are as effective on Day 1 as they are on Day 100 (and beyond)— unlike soy or paraffin candles which have a shelf-life of about 3 to 12 months after which the hydrogenated wax, synthetic fragrances and artificial colour dyes become rancid
All of our candles and the packaging and shipping materials that we use are plastic-free, zero-waste and biodegradable by design. Our packaging is sustainably sourced and made from post-consumer recycled fibre All the ingredients and materials that we use for our candles are eco-friendly and non-toxic before, during and post-production as well as after the candles are used This enables our packaging to be re-used, re-purposed or composted at home in addition to being kerb-side recyclable. There is no good reason that anything from our company should be added to landfill, but if that situation does occur— then our products and their packaging do not pose a threat to the local community, animals, wildlife, the environment and the water cycle
